The floral escape
My floral escape includes a two nights’ stay my traditional shepherds hut in the orchard and a full day bespoke 1:1 workshop with me in my studio.
It’s designed for those who want to step away from the pace of everyday life and spend focused, uninterrupted time learning and creating in a calm, beautiful setting
Escape to the country….
You’ll arrive the day before, giving you time to settle in.
The shepherd’s hut sits within the orchard, just a short walk from the studio. Cosy and welcoming, it’s a lovely place to relax at the end of the day, and partners are very welcome to stay too. The hut has a traditional feel while still offering modern comforts, including an en-suite bathroom, TV and Wi-Fi, underfloor heating, tea and coffee station and comfortable bed. It’s a lovely space whatever the season.
You are welcome to wander around the 18 acres of orchard and meadow sit outside with a cup of tea and enjoy views across the beautiful Herefordshire countryside.
You’ll meet our friendly donkeys, Bob and Gary, and our traditional Ryeland sheep who are part of everyday life here.
The orchard and land are managed without the use of chemicals, and apples from the trees are pressed into our own apple juice and cider.
Herefordshire is known for its orchards, rolling farmland and deep sense of history one of the reasons it was chosen as a location for the film Hamnet.
There’s plenty to do nearby, including exploring in the Wye Valley and the Malvern Hills, as well as visits to the historic towns of Ledbury and Ross-on-Wye. The local village has a walkable pub, and historic Hellens Manor
YOUR BESPOKE DAY :
We begin the day together over breakfast in my studio, with time to talk through ideas, inspiration and the design focus for the day ahead. From there, the workshop unfolds at an unhurried pace, allowing space to explore techniques, ask questions and develop your work in depth. Whether you’re at the beginning of your floral journey or looking to refine and evolve your skills, the day is shaped entirely around you..
If you’d like to share the experience, it’s also possible to come with a partner or friend, stay together in the shepherd’s hut and enjoy a bespoke 1:2 workshop.
